This is a 3 step process in how to convert your wireframe into a PSD. Many clients come to us from all over the globe, and having done 100s of wireframe to PSD conversions, this is the basic process that happens on a consistent basis.

1. Put the ideas down on paper
You don’t just jump right into your wireframe design, you want to get out all the ideas you have that you want for your site and write them down. How many links do you want? What’s your main objective for your site? Do you want to inform people, or are you trying to get conversions from your homepage? The answers to these questions will determine the type of wireframe you’ll develop. The thing is, only you know what the answers are, so as the entrepreuner, you’ll have to spend some time on developing your ideas and writing them down on paper.

2. Once you have your ideas down on paper, start creating your wireframe.
With all the ideas written down, now it’s easier to figure out exactly what you want displayed on your site. Don’t worry so much about how it looks, we can take care of that, just focus on getting what you want on your site and in the general area you want it. For instance, you know you want 5 links for your site, and you know you want them displayed vertically at the top of the page, but you don’t know exactly how you want them to look.

I usually use cacoo.com. I’m not affiliated with them, it’s just a service I like. There are other great sites that will help you create a wireframe: balsalmiq, mockingbird, and mockflow to name a few. If you’re really going to build a large web application, you might want to buy a software called axure, that will actually create a functional web site from your wireframes so you can see it in action.

That’s ok, that’s exactly what you want. Simply create the wireframe to display those links for you, and we’ll take care of the rest. Once you have all the ideas turned into a wireframe piece on your wireframe, you’re ready for your next step.

3. Once you have your wireframes ready, send them to us.
This is the fun part. This is where you can see your ideas turned into a beautiful design. With your wireframes in hand, give us a call or shoot us an email and tell us a little bit about your wireframe. We’ll ask you a few questions and go over your wireframe. From there, it takes just a couple of business days and we’ll turn your wireframe into a completed design. We’ll work with you to get your design just right, so you can hand it off to your coding team and get going on your web site or web application.
